Jamie is a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in working with pre-adolescents, adolescents, young adults and adults. She is skilled in individual, group and family therapies.
Jamie has over 16 years of experience across many different areas of therapy and treatment settings. She is trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which she uses in conjunction with Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) in treatment sessions. Jamie has extensive experience working with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, lack of confidence and family relational difficulties. Jamie also has experience using Biofeedback to help those struggling with chronic pain.
She has worked with diverse clients in a variety of settings including Partial Care programs, Intensive Outpatient programs, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, private practice and school settings. She has been an integral part of implementing a school-wide mindfulness program for students with learning disabilities.
Jamie provides a caring and inviting therapy environment. She strives to support the client while guiding them to make healthy decisions in order to live their best life. She is adept at connecting with her clients, forging strong working relationships with them. Jamie is creative in her approach; she develops a unique treatment plan for each client.
