Nicole (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience working with adolescents, teens, and families, both individually and in groups. She received her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from the University of Rhode Island, and her Masters in Social Work from Rutgers University - New Brunswick. While at Rutgers, she also completed her certificate in Promoting Child and Adolescent Well-Being. Nicole has clinical experience at all levels of care, having worked in a Residential Treatment Center and focusing a lot of her graduate internship work in psychiatric hospitals, as well as schools.
Nicole specializes in working with individuals experiencing Anxiety, Depression, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Her clinical approach is rooted in evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and a Strengths-Based Perspective to support clients in effectively managing their symptoms.
She recognizes that working with children often involves the entire family system. She is committed to collaborating with parents and caregivers to reinforce therapeutic skills at home, ensuring consistency and long-term success. By integrating family involvement into the treatment process, Nicole aims to foster supportive environments that empower both the child and their family.
She believes that therapy is most effective when there is trust, compassion, and collaboration at its core. Her goal is to create a space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered. She approaches each session with empathy and a deep respect for her clients’ lived experiences. She understands that every individual and family has a unique story, and she is committed to helping clients move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and connection.
